Kishanganj: A Collective March Towards Development

Hi every one!!! We are more than 13 lakhs now, let’s put Kishanganj on a collectivemarch towards development.
Possibilities are enormous and so are the challenges. In a fastchanging scenario in and around, we not only have to keep up with theculture and values that we have set forward as a resident ofKishanganj but we need to keep the pace of development dynamic. We arefar behind than the others in terms of education, employment, povertyeradication, medical & health facilities, agricultural facilities andmany more that you can continue to count. It’s not about looking toothers for the work and effort but it is all about a collectiveresponsibility.
If each one can share the vision of a dream Kishanganj then why cannoteach one share the work and the passion to transform ourselves intobetter individuals, better humans and better residents.
Often we have talked about it and discussed this at length, inschools, in debates, in colleges, with elders and with young folks, with fellows and friends and I mean on various platform at manycapacities. We are called a country where everyone has some opinion orthe other. Let me assure you, this time when we formed that opinioncertainly not on lines of political or social groups, castes ,religions , sects but on the lines of progress and development of thedistrict and the futuristic vision. Most of the times we haveconcluded in our lengthy debates on the ways to get our districtforward is through education , is through women empowerment , throughyouth participation ,through responsibility sharing, through gettingreservations in jobs, through peoples participation and speciallythrough the initiatives taken by our MLAs and MPs.
Who can understand the plight of the youth of today, needs of thefarmers, under par policy of education, fraudulent governance, unmetneeds of reproductive & child health and other medical & healthfacilities etc you can add on than a common person who has been inthe system , who has been the witness of all misdemeanor by variousauthorities and representatives, who has been striving for a socialchange through education and put himself in the process for long, whohas been motivated and determined to get a podium to serve thecommunity. What our brothers and sisters need, what are theirpriorities and what are their ambitions and goals.
I am not being overtly optimistic, rather I am excited on the factthat someone who is just like us has been elected first time as a Member of Parliament by our enthuse and motivated people ofKishanganj.
We needed someone who understands how difficult is to manageexpectations of individual and community in this cut throat world ,how difficult is to meet the needs of livelihood, who understand whatit takes to be able to get an employment , what it takes to survive inthis era. One who has gone through the influences of the traditionalroots and the modern amenities, one who knows how and when to makecompromises, one who knows how to outline the rules of development atthis competitive age with the vision of the future. One who does notlook back at what he lost but one who knows that the future lies inmoving on, in learning from our experiences, in adapting and inevolving.
If not anything else it is that nice feeling of freshness. It is thatnice fragrance where we can associate ourselves with people who seefuture with vision and mission. Till the day we start associating withour politicians, till we start seeing our reflections in them we willnever be able to assert or ignite that passion.
Let us stand united, let us show support, let us pledge help andextend brilliant and indigenous ideas to make the "common" dream, thedream of you and me and of everyone a reality. It is time that we moveon, we move on from the new promises based on the interest of mass, new philosophies and ideologies and the new face and the extendedfamilies in the politics of our beloved district. Since our so called"leaders" of the past could not do better for us, let us all showsolidarity with the "common man" Maulana Asrarul Haq Qasmi on aprovided platform for a change and reform and I am sure a shiningfuture is just ahead!!!
Wassalm,
Sarfaraz Ahsan
